Does your PS3 sometimes not shut off?

is happens to me once and a while, ill shut the system off with the coltroller and sometimes it doesnt shut off. the screen goes black like its shutting off but the eject and power button light are still on and doesnt turn red (off).

It only shuts off in some sort of emergeny mode if the game freezes. It blinks and makes the beep noise, then beeps 2 or 3 times. When it comes on, it scans for corrupted files, but other than that, no, it shuts off fine.
