honestly my experience with sony's controllers and 3rd party's has always, regardless of the price difference, gone in sony's favour. 3rd party controllers never do it for me, they feel so flimsy and pathetic, like it was made by a worker wearing mittens or soemthing.

The Dualshock 3 and all it predecessors going back to the original dualshock, have always been great controllers.

I have that controller and there's not much wrong with it. It just takes up a port and needs batteries but the sixaxis makes you buy a whole new controller.

I have the MGS4 bundle so i have a DS but i noticed that bestbuy had the logitec controller for only 24.99.

I just look at radioshack(link above) and i might considered that

I used to have a logitech on my PS2 back when it first came out. Never really had any problems, if you want go for it, but I suggest you shoot for a DS3.

I only say this because if you got used to the sixaxis it won't take anytime to adjust to a new controller, plus only get a DS3 if you could dish out the extra cash for it.

If not save up, totally up to you on this one. Hope you make the wise choice.

My friend's uncle had similar wireless ones for the PS2, and they were just fine. I preferred the DS2 though.

I never use third party controllers. They never feel anywhere near as good as the real thing. Especially for Playstation. Third party ones never feel as comfortable as the dual shock layout. They also always feel too cheap.

The Logitech wireless controller for the PS2 was great and after I got it, it was the only controller I ever used. Now this one for the PS3 doesn't support motion sensitivity and requires a USB receiver rather than connecting through Bluetooth, but other than that I think it would be okay. The upside of this one is that it takes batteries rather than charging, so it wouldn't ever be necessary to plug it in. Right now, when my controller runs low on charge, I have to plug it in using that 6 foot cord it came with and I have to sit right by my system. If you don't mind the lack of motion sensitivity, I say go for it.
