Right when I open a new game, I smell the inside case. You always know that "New Game Smell."
#19 Posted by PSdual_wielder (10646 posts) -
I thought I was eccentric, turns out so many people does this too. I like the fresh scent of game boxes when they're just bought and opened. Can't explain why but I just do, especially when I get a new title that is one of the megablockbuster caliburs, feels much better than the crappy ones, even though they all smell the same.

Hey Realistic (sup btw)

Did you get email from Play-Asia reguarding Siren? I just wanted to know cause they took the funds out of my wifes account, so just wanted to know on ur end aswell.

This is why I buy new games. To smell them lol!

Trip to the game store: $3.99 a gallon.

Purchase of a new game: $63.60

The smell of a opened new game: Priceless.

Dang, consider yourselves lucky @ 3.85 per gallon. In Vancouver B.C. currently we pay aboot $ 6.00+ per gallon (sold in litres everywhere but U.S.) so when you guys complain aboot high gas prices just remember you're probably paying close to half of what others do. And aboot the "new game smell", geez I thought I was the only freak that does this. Actually, we "like" the smell because with cars and I can only assume electronics as well, you actually get a little high from the "new" smell from the fumes from glues and plastics. So next time you're smelling cars/electronics... breathe a little deeper, it only gets better.

alaska pays 8.00+ :) lol so... i don't think we should be talking :P

Yeah I know gas prices are extremely high in other places that's why I don't complain. Hey Zidaneski, I live in South Florida and the gas maybe reasonable but you have to deal with extreme humidity and a**hole drivers lol! But like bubnux said, you can get high off the new smell by taking a deeper breath. It helps me get through the day.

^^^ Lol i feel sorry for you guys in dubai we pretty much pay (i converted) $2.75... or something like 73 cents a litre.

Anyways... smellin the whole case is abit weird but as i install the game as i'm readin the manual take a good wiff of that wierd paper smell..

#30 Posted by neovalkyr (1097 posts) -
Well in dubai gas is one of the top industries there right ? must be nice to have cheap gas. I heard you guys will run out of gas in 2016 so your prince is making that huge man made island to bring in tourists. Oh and i always smell my games i thought i was a wierdo lol. It must be because we associate that smell with the happiness of getting something new.

gas is $4.65 here in chicago. i think i'll go to an animal shelter, adopt a bunch of dogs, strap them to my car and have them drag me to work. but, who doesn't like to smell their new things. i even like the smell of new kittens too, as weird as that sounds.
