I think with all the money going into it Killzone might be 1080p, but 720p would probably be alot easier. What do you think?

my tv is only 1080i or 720p, so doesnt matter to melive4thepackersSame but I would like to see screenshots of it in 1080p from those who do have the capabilities.
My guess if it is 1080P the game has to come out in 08 to make the game good but if it is 720P they may be could bring the game out this year. But I still think it would be best to bring it out in 08.
That way there will be no Halo so people will not have to say KZ is a Halo Killer.
I would rather have really nice graphics at a lower resolution that a higher resolution, where graphics were sacrificed to get to that resolution. If they can run in 1080p with what they got then GREAT! but I dont want them to take things out to make it 1080p.
Why have it 1080p when you cant see the high res textures because they were down-graded to get to 1080p?? doesnt make sense.

Agreed there's nothing wrong with 720p if the graphics are great.
Does it really matter?
There are games that are out now on ps3 in 1080p and they dont look like anything spectacular.

Who says the graphics will be sacrificed? Does liar have worse graphics than the other upcoming titles?
Look at Oblivion, because it runs in 720p the devs are using processing power on compensating for the resolution not being able to show the details of the objects unless they are up close.
And 1080p games need much less AA to remove "jaggies" and it allows for much cleaner polygon edges.
Sure you got an opinion but what did you actually base it on?
Yes they may not be able to have the same amount of polygons, textures and effects but the question is how much less and how does it compare to the many things gained from the higher resolution is the real question to be asked.
It's the very same with frame rate, how does 60fps compare with 30fps where the latter needs to compensate with motion blur on objects but there's only blur on the defined objects while 60fps got natural motion blur on all objects and allows for higher control precision.
We could also just run all games in 480p at 23.973fps, just think of all the polygons, textures and effects we could throw in.
It has to be 1080P, I mean with the money being put into the game, it only makes sense.Perception1Doesn't matter how much money they throw, the PS3 can only handle so much on the screen at once because of its 512 being divided for graphics and memory. I believe it will be 720p, because if that game is going to have lots going on, on screen then 1080p is to tough a resolution which will cause the frame rate to drop. So I bet they stick with 720p and make it look sick.

RAM clearly isn't the hinderance, neither sound, textures, polygon models and so on take up more space just because the game is rendered i 1080p as they are the exact same assets used for 720p. The only thing taking up mose space is the frame buffers and that's just 8MB (uncompressed, applying tiling will make the buffers take up even less space), a minimal increase when the games are streamed.
