i think 32 inches is well enough to do a resolution of 1920x1080. my pc monitor is only 17 inches and its about that high.
interlaced display only shows every other line of the image at once. it shows for instance, lines 1, 3, 5, etc, then 2, 4, 6, etc.
progressive shows the entire image, resulting in a much clearer picture. since 1080i is interlaced, and 720p is progressive, i'd say 720 looks better although the resolution is a little lower, because the image is progressive
>_> anyone bothered checking wikipedia?...
You can see a world of difference between 1080p and 1080i, unless the picture is standing completely still.. Progressive scan isn't just "really better".. it's.. hell of alot better, especially with alot of moving.. (hence why 720p will look better than 1080i)
[QUOTE="locktc"]720p should look better than 1080i.1nverted
Yeah from my experience it does. :)
Only on video games, not for television
Also LCD and PLasma TVs don't output interlaced video as well as CRT Tvs.>_> anyone bothered checking wikipedia?...

"Interlacing does not work well with modern display technologies, such as LCDs. Deinterlacing attempts to reverse the interlacing process to produce single higher resolution frame suitable for these displays. However, the original interlaced signal did not contain these frames in a complete form, and de-interlacing is a fundamentally lossy process that generally produces some image degradation."link
