Destiny update problem

"A new Destiny update is available. Please exit Destiny and apply the update. For more information visit help.bungie.net and search cat"

That has done nothing for me and I can't play the game. What do I do?

Did you try to delete everything (even saves on cloud and locally) related to the games then put the cd back on and reinstall everything?
Make sure you reboot your ps4 before the reinstall.

I think I found the problem.

The Update was not showing up so I just reset and did it again and it seems to be working fine now.

OK, so I'm DL the update file but because it takes 5 hours I used the option "Start Application without Updating" which you can use if you don't want to use the applications network features (I'd have just played offline) but when I do this I get an error saying I need to update the file to use the network features... I press close and keep getting the error?!
