Interesting for sure. I don't own a computer able to run Crisis (gots me a P3 lol) but I'd like to play though it if it came on ps3. Oh and there is no excuse for it not to have keyboard/mouse support.
An official press release is a confirmation. A website saying this without said official confirmation is a rumor, one that I won't take seriously until they offer an official confirmation from the publisher and/or the developer.
When I saw this news in N4G I quickly thought "Someone is probably making a thread in the PS3 forum on Gamespot in great excitement." Please don't do this. Just wait it out and see if EA puts it on their site. Until then, CHILL.

ill get it..just to show off to my friends what the PS3 can do! :P (heres hoping if it does release on the PS3 and can atleast almost look as good as the PC vers.)

and crysis is definitely not as bad of a game as people make it out to be.yes it looks awesome, its a solid shooter as well though. physics are awesome. i think it would be a great addition to the ps3's library
Regardless of how 360 owners will take this, this is great news. I'm more of a console gamer, so my PC is pretty crappy and I highly doubt it could run Crysis, not to make it look stellar. But now--but now--yay!

Someone posted a while ago that they were looking for a ps3 programmer on the Crysis site, I still have my doubts though, just because I want to see something official.
If its true, Crytek has alot to do. Crysis got alot of hype and praise for graphics, they dont cant afford to make it look FAR worse than the PC. ( If its slightly under High Quality, but over medium, it woudl be good, and that should be possible to do. ) They need betetr multiplayer for sure too.

I'll hold out for official word, thanks. And while I'm at it, I'll say that calling it Crysis 1.5 is kindof a stretch. The PS3 doesn't have the graphics power of SLI DX10 video cards. Sorry.
Well they would have to downgrade it, I love my PS3 but no way can it handle graphics like my 320mb GTS, I have crysis and it lags like hell on my computer if u go High or Very High dx10 mode, the thing that worries me most is PS3 amount of memory it could have used a little more.

I agree, but I have seen so many rumors turn true that I sometimes think all rumors will be true!!!lol,... except for MGS4 coming to the 360 of course :lol:
I remembered a thread about how Uncharted looks like Crysis. If Crysis does come out in the future on the PS3 and is graphically close to (or surpass) Uncharted, I'll be glad, cause Uncharted is the best looking game on the PS3 for me.(I know some guys will say UT3 or CoD4, but WTH)
The developers alwready said that they will definately not be making Crysis for PS3 or Xbox 360. They said that the only thing stopping them from porting it is that both systems do not have enough RAM to support the game.
However, they said that they may be making a game simmilar to Crysis for consoles but it will not be the same. This depends on the success of Crysis for the PC.
I'm pretty sure GameSpot has the video interview that this was said in on their Crysis Videos section.
Crysis is a very fun game, I've played it over my cousins house and it was stunning. I hope this is true because it should look pretty good on the Playstation 3, can't wait!
