Component Audio or Optical Cable?

Hi all

I am going with component cables for my ps3, and wanted to know is it worth getting optical audio cable, I plan just to run it from my playstasion 3 to my hd tv.

But I do not know if its worth it, does anything know or help me?

You only need on optical cable if you're using 5.1 surround sound. If you're just using you're tv speakers there is no point, also iv never seen a tv with an optical connector.lbw666

ok, because i wanted to know if it was worth it, i don't have 5.1 or anything yet, and my speakers on my hd are fine for my viewing for now, but we all want the best :)
