Hey quick question because Im on the fence atm, can you still find 60Gb PS3's in the UK and if you have seen them where please? the backwards compatibility means a great deal to me because my launch PS2 dies a year or so ago (amazing, 7 years it lasted 8)) and I don't want to buy another.
Apparently there hard to get.. But if you want one bad then try ebay although this means it will be pre-owned but meh maybe you'll find a brand new 60GB
They were actually selling a unused one at a nearby shop for a little over twice the price of an 80GB!!! Probably the last new 60GB available, at least in my country.
Here in Ireland (and the UK) they've stopped selling them last year probably becasue the manufactue for 60G modles was canceled, so I was lucky to get it just before Christmas. Maybe if you search on Amazon or eBay hard enough you'll find one.
I really don't understand why they've decided that the 60G model would be backwards compatible and not the other models, though.
Thanks for all the answers :) Im not buying second hand so it looks like I wont be getting to replay my PS2 games then :( I just need to decide whether to still get a PS3 or not now but at least I cleared this up.
