Bloodborne - Hunter's Essence Trophy question

So after having spent alot of time playing Bloodborne (must be pushing 200hrs by now) but without thinking about platinum the game i just fired uf the trophylist yesterday and saw that i only have two trophies left to get the platinum one (Hunter's Essence and Queen Yharnam), "Hunter's essence" is the one i have some questions regarding though. I got all the Hunters weapons except Beast Claws (no problems here, i know which chalice dungeon to get them in), Torch and the Shield. Both the Torch and the Shield i've had during my NG and NG+ playthroughs but i sold them both times. To get the Hunter's Essence Trophy is it enough that my character have hade the Torch and Shield at some point or do i have to have all the required hunters weapons in my inventory at the same time? If so, then i have to go into NG+2 and get them which would be a bummer. Thanks in advance/Izak80

Unless it has been patched since I finished the plat a few months ago, you don't need to have them all in your possession as long as you owned it at least once.

Also the shield and hunters torch isn't very hard to get and I wonder if you can simply buy them.

And one last thing, some dongeons to get to the Queen are stupidly hard. The cursed Pthumerian with Amygdala 2.0 took me a long time but the Queen was easy enough if you take you time and wait for an opening.

@Coco_pierrot: Thnx for the reply. It's the regular torch (the one before the hunters torch) and wooden shield i don't have. From what i can see you can't buy them in either of the shops in the hunters dream. I know where to get them both in the main game but for that i would have ro go into NG+2. I've owned them twice but sold them both times, which i regret :(

Oh oki then if it don't pop up when you put your hand on the beast claw in the dongeon ( at least you don't have to go very far in that dongeon and you don,t need to do it at all to have access to the Queen ) then you'll have to get them in a NG+2 at least you don't have to go very far in the game to have them.

@Coco_pierrot: Yeah, my first thought was to follow the recomended dungeon order that's described in the Bloodborne guide (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/805577-bloodborne/71697205). This is what i've done uptil now and i've just reached the fifth one which is The Lower Prhumerian Labyrinth. Right after that comes the Ailing Loran dungeon where the Beast Claws are.I know i could probably skip some of the dungeons described in the guide on my way to the Beast Claws and eventually Queen Yharnam but i'm one of those gamers that wants to feel that i've earned my trophies (atleast with a game that i enjoy so much). If i'm lucky the Hunters Essence trophy will pop up when i lay my hands on the Beast Claws. One note though, i haven't got all of the weapons in the DLC yet but this won't affect the main game, right?

The DLC don't count toward the plat. But in the trophy list for the DLC there is one for obtaining all the weapons.

I can understand that, I did skip some of them because they are quite challenging later on. Like I did two times the Isz (because it is super easy) dongeon to have the materials to open the last dongeon instead of doing the other dongeon I should have.

hi Thats a lot of hours . I know the feeling.. Why dont you visit a trophy site for it? Its true that a lot of psthree and psfour trophy sites exist .

I did rechecked what I did and from the lower Pthumerian I did 2 layer of Ailing Loran then the Defiled Pthumeru ( cursed dongeon ) then I did 2 times the Isz because I didn't finish Ailing loran and wasn't very interested in doing the lower loran to have the Red Jelly to open the Pthumeru Ihyll ( the dongeon with the Queen )

@Coco_pierrot: That's pretty much the route i'm taking also. I'm following the chalice dungeon order suggested in the game guide. After the Lower Pthumeru dungeon i'll move on to: Ailing Loran -> Cursed Pthumerian Defilement -> Lower Loran -> Lower Loran -> Pthumeru Ihyll. I know that i could probably skip some dungeon/-s, i'm on the end of my NG+ playthrough so i already have 4 pieces of red jelly, but at the moment i feel that i've gotta earn my trophies somehow and not just take the easy/quick way out. This opinion might very well change though as i enter the Cursed Pthumerian Defilement. As of now it seems as ive gotta go into NG+2 to ger my hands on the regular torch and wooden shield which is a bummer.

@Izak80: I would wait before going into NG+2 as the trophy may pup up, depend if it was patched or not.

If you already have 4 red jelly then you went into Isz ?

Yeah the cursed pthumeran is something ... you have half your health bar and have to battle again ROM and Amygdala

Haven't had time to play the the game that much lately but i'll post back as soon as i get my hands on the Beast Claws to tell if the Hunter Essence trophy popped up or not. And no, as i turns out i've only got 2 pieces of Reed Jelly eventhough i've been to the Lecture Hall two times (as this is my NG+ playthrough). I guess the two pieces are only there during the first playthrough, which is a bummer.

@Izak80: Yeah it is true there is two in the lecture hall ! It is weird that you haven't got them on your second play. Anyway if you search for other Red Jelly you can find them at the 3rd floor of the Isz dongeon ( have to beat the Brainsucker and Celestial Emmissary ) and somewhere in the lower Loran.

@Coco_pierrot: An update: I just got my hands on the Beast Claws and the Hunter's Essence Trophy popped up shortly after, great! Now i don't have to go into NG+3 and search for the "torch" and the "wooden shield" which are the only two hunter weapons i don't currently have in my stash. Now onto Queen Yharnham the only trophy i got left before platinum. Hopefully i also get the background theme which i've heard Sony send you as an reward :)

I didn't know you could get the back ground theme ! I had the theme they give when you get the strategy guide.

@Coco_pierrot: Just an update: i platinumed the game this tuesday and today i got the code to download the Bloodborne Platinum Theme sent to me by mail. This being my first Platinum Trophy and also being rewarded for it feels special somehow :)

@Izak80: Yeah I agree with you ! My first play was for God Of war 3 on PS3 and there was something special there too but since I've got many plat and none have give me anything outside of the satisfaction of getting the plat.

@Coco_pierrot: I got all the trophies in Journey aswell, but i don't think that counts. The only game i've played this much is Dark Souls. Would be great to platinum that game aswell, i can't have many trophies left.

@Coco_pierrot: Thanks, i'm gonna check that out. I've also got videos of me beating every boss in the game (DLC and Chalice dungeons included) on Yotube.
