Best Splitscreen/Co-op Games?

Hey all! Me and my friend have been trying to find some games that we could both play at the same time whenever we hang out. Which games do you think have the best splitscreen or co-op gameplay on the PS3? All genres are welcome! Btw, I already have Borderlands and LBP2.

It's been bad this generation really, but there are some people that haven't ignored us. One game I always wanted for that reason but didn't get was Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, but it's a 3 year old game and I've never seen it go below $50.

Other games I played and LOVED in co-op tho are Resident Evil 5, Modern Warfare 3 has nice co op modes. LittleBIGPlanet 2 of course, Killzone 3 has co op campaign, dunno if Dynasty Warriors 6/7 is your thing.. R&C All 4 One, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3... thats all i can think of

Some great PSN games I enjoyed are Dead Nation, Trine 2, Castle Crashers, Fat Princess, PixelJunk Shooter 2, Hard Corps: Uprising.

Thanks for the replies everyone! :) Unfortunately it seems you were right PayneKiller as I've played through pretty much all of the games listed on here with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 haha. Well, except the PSN games so I'll go and check out Castle Crashers as I've been wanting to get that game for a while.

One more question. Are there any games that let two people go online competitively on the same system? For example, I know Resistance 2 let you and a friend do splitscreen while playing competitive multiplayer. Anyone know if Resistance 3 lets you do that?

Dead Nation is a great game to play co-op/splitscreen, as is Resistance: Fall of Man and Resident Evil 5.

Don't know if it's being mentioned but Lord of the Rings: War in the North has really fun splitscreen (although it is verticle which some people seem to hate but I don't mind) and if you want something a little more indepth it has quite a lot of rpg elements such as skill trees, weapon and armour customisation and npc conversations. I hear there have been some saving issues but I've had no problems.

Otherwise Trine 2 is a very pretty puzzle based psn game which I really enjoyed.

Not really too many good splitscreen games this generation, what happened to the age where people sat down next to eachother and actually talked while being able to see their teammates face.?

Killzone 3 only has splitscreen campaign, not online co-op campaign tho.

Shank has a co-op online and offline campaign (the co-op campaign is a different campaign from the solo campaign, so 2 stories in one game) Shank 2 has co-op online and offline suvival mode with 3 or 4 different maps, and the mode can be beaten unlike most survival modes.

Dead Nation is decent.

Black Ops has offline MP with bots ( you need to have the latest updates to get the offline MP with bots. The bots are half azzed programed, but can be fun)

I was told Fear 3 has a co-op campaign, and it has offline MP with bots splitscreen (buy the game new to get the code for 2 new MP game modes)

Resistance 3 has a co-op campaign.

LOTR war in the north, but it has glitches, dont know if patches fixed them.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier has a offline and online guerilla mode (similar to survival) splitscreen.

And of course you can buy fighting games if you like them.

Don't forget Twisted Metal and Starhawk aslo have co-op splitscreen and they are newer games. Some other older games would be Sacred 2, Fear 3, Kane and Lynch series, Earth Defense force: Insect Armageddon and Rainbow 6 games. This is a good resource if you want to know what games are co-op and if they have splitscreen for different modes. It is called Co-Optimus.

GTA IV online free roam and Saints Row 2 & the third

These games have split-screen mode which you can play on one keyboard (PC). If you want your friend/brother to join you, press F2. Not sure if controller/gamepad works. Try it out yourself.

CASTLE CRASHERS!!! best game ever to play up to 4 players co-op.

And you also have: Diablo 3, Soul Calibur 2, Trine 2, WWE 2K14, Guacamelee, Uprising Hard Corps, Terraria, Moon Diver, Resistance 3, Killzone 3.

Far Cry 3's co-op mode is not bad, either.
