yeah lol... im not gonna go out and buy the new one to be able to plug it into my tv when i could hold it in my hands and have a perfectly good LCD screen that looks the same size relatively.
What about the latest videocall that is only available for the Slim?Anyway im also using the old model and i'm happy with it.What's the point of having tv output if its know as Playstation Portable.
Yeah, I am. While it would be cool to hook it up to a TV and play games...it is not enough of an incentive (among the other small changes) that would warrent me to get another PSP beyond one I already have.
I just bought one of the slims, so I guess I can't talk. But I'm not buying any of the gps, camera, or skype garbage. If I need that I'd rather buy a iPhone (which I am definitely not doing). The video connector is nice, but I wish games would run through the composite cable.
Well, if you already have the original psp, then there's not much point in buying a slim. But if you are looking to buy a psp, you might as well get a slim. Also it;s basically impossible to find originals now.
I have one but its just sitting here with a big thick layer of dust on it. I will be using it for music when I need to catch the bus again. Im only really holding on to my PSP for Crisis Core........
I am, but so many good PC games I haven't really been showing much love to my fattie. TV output for games would be cool. But I dont have HDTV with progressive scan so even if I bought one I wouldn't be able to use tv output for games.
I am right now, but when I feel like it which will be sometime soon, I'll get the SLIM and roll Skype on it, and talk to people for free because I have Hi-speed internet in my car with Wi-fi. It'll be awesome when that stuff comes out.
While on this topic, I was wondering what are the major differences between the new and old PSP? I keep hearing about being able to play on your tv with the new one, but I thought you could do the same with the old one? What are the other differences, aside from size?
Yep i have the Old Fat Boy dropped the git twice on concrete now which always seems to happen after i have played footie and picked my gear up it manages to slip out of its case and whack the floor :( but hey it works the joystick sticks on Tekken Etc and i may jump for no reason every now and again but thats no biggie FF Tactics is just great on it as well. :)
I still have the original. I tried using my friend's slim psp and it just felt ..cheap to me. Hope that makes sense---I'm not trying to offend anyone. It just felt like Sony took the feel of solid metal and replaced it with cheap plastic cover. Didn't feel right, but I guess it's because I've been using my psp for a while now.
I'm still using the original psp I got at launch and I'm still loving it. I considered buying a slim but the difference is so minimal it doesn't warrant another purchase in my opinion.
I use my original at home and my slim outside. They usually have different games in them. The fat one currently has Harvest Moon : Boy & Girl and the slim one has Valkyrie Profile : Lenneth. It is easier to play VP outside when I am constantly on the move as compared to Harvest Moon which requires more attention as I need to plan my farmer's day and such.
Yep. im still using my original psp. im still not convinced that i should get the slim for two reasons: 1 its not worth it to buy a new psp for just tv input and skype. 2. if its anything like the ds lite, then it will be too uncomfortale for my hands since i have big hands and they cramp up whenever i play my ds but with the psp my hands are fine.
i guess thats why i play my psp way more than my ds. psp ftw!!
yeah I still use my white psp, I don't have the slim yet but for now I really don't see a reason to get one now while I have my fat white psp which is still in good shape^^

if you would have played with it for 5 minutes or so that cheap feeling goes away and it feels way better than the old one in your hands

just the added memory... so that the games would load faster since some of the info from the umd is now cached, and also there is skype and others, no biggie if your only into the gaming not the added hooplah of it all

I agree, i got a thick psp and my friend got a slim, the slim does feel cheaper (probably because of weight) but i am slightly jealous about the extra ram. Also i realy dislike the slim's umd slot, i like the mechanical 1 of the fatty.
Most of PSP owners still have the old one. I think original PSP owners are kinda' don't care if there's a slim since it would waste money and there's no need to get the slim. I still own my orig psp
I own a Fat PSP and im pround and i wont be buying a SILM cause the only thing really i use my PSP is for playing Videogames and sometimes watching UMD Movies!
