I dont have assassins creed but for some reason after the 2.0 update my PS3 just freezes for no reason what so ever and I have to manually turn it off with the back power button, Ill just think Im unlucky for now, but if it continues....
I DON'T GET IT!! i'm confused. it's freezing for EVERYBODY on this forum, but me and alot of my friends haven't had a problem with ANY of the PS3 games, or the FW Updates at all. it's the same all around right? how come some of them f's up and some don't?
I just got both AC and 2.0 and my game started freezing. When I read this I was a little relieved to hear it was just the game but when I was navigating through the PS3 home menu it froze on me again...I wasn't playing AC at that time. I hope it is something that can be fixed and not going to be a huge issue.

It is a software issue on both systems. Contrary to fanboys on Ubisofts forums everyone is complaining about the same. It froze up on me a couple times but I removed the install file and let the game reinstall it and it has not froze on me since. Try that.
its happening to me too! i dont own AC or Uncharted but about every 1 in 4 times my ps3 freezes on the xbm menu or in internet explorer??????? wtf like! I think this calls for firmware 2.0.1
o hmm just realized AC was built on 720p so for those pkaying in 1080i like me maybe we should drop to 720p and c if anything changes...unless some1 already tried and it doesnt effect anything?

Poor 360 peeps?? There's no problems with the 360 version.... it's only the ps3 version that has freezing issues (trust me, I completed assasins creed on 360, and i didn't experience any freezes, bugs or framerate drops)....
Mine froze yesterday when i went to play a downloaded video. Other than that it had only ever froze when i was playing Oblivion and even then just in one specific area.
Yep, PS3 is freezing, it has to be the update...COD 4 worked fine without the 2.0 update, now its freezing like crazy...most of the time it is when I sign into the PSN it is really slow takes like 3 minutes just to get to the sign in screen. Assassins Creed has froze once for me in game and COD 4 has done it twice....It had never froze before I got both of these games and before update 2.0
if ur playing asasing or oblivion than its not ur system. those games have lots of bugs. if its freezing in the xmb ten its th firmware update. update 2.0 really makes the ps3 slow. sumtimes mins freezes for like 3 secs and then continues what it was doing. its not that it freezes, its that the update made things much slower. i called sony and they said they were working on fixing the update problem.
lol have u guys seen the new assasings creed comercial lol. its so biased. in the commercial this one guy says hes gonna see how hot the coffe is and he pours it all over the ps3 and its breaks. then he pulls out sum of those throwing knifes and throws em at the other guy lol. it just proves that ubioft like teh 360 more. and they dont even try to hide it anymore.
Dammit. By the sounds of it AC is even more glitchy than The Two Thrones. Ubisoft should stop releasing glitchy action games already, it's freaking annoying.
Now I have to hold out on buying Assassin's Creed until they start putting out un-glitched ones. :cry:

Mine froze twice, only while playing assassins creed. It's not because of 2.0. My cuz still hasn't updated to 2.0 yet, and his freezes also while playing assassins creed.

call sony and let them know.....i sent mine back and have a brand new PS3........it already had been updated to 2.01 and so far now bugs. Now I haven't put anything extra on my hard drive yet. No music or pictures or new backdrops or anything! But that's really what I got it for, plus the browser, but really I don't want to loose all my saves and pictures again......dcome on sony, your customer service is GREAT, but fix the hardware!:cry: :D
