this...seems kind of creepy... My girlfriend is a gamer and she recieved a message very much like this. A guy had gone online, found her gamertag where it said she was female, and contacted her because he found girl gamers "interesting". i guess some girls like the attention (?), but I don't want to dive into this discussion...I fear I have said too much already. No offense, @commonfate...

I have a few on my PSN and XBL list but most prefer to stay anonymous because of attracting the wrong type of people.

well i don't find it creepy. asking for kids to add to my friends list would be creepy but thats not what i'm doing (i tend to not allow kids on my friends list due to how annoying a lot of them get on call of duty)

I surprised any girl wants any other gamer to know, every g/f'less basement dweller out there just hounds them to death. What some may find creepy is all the guys out there who profile as being a girl and can even sound like one over chat. I remember when my stepdaughter first played on 360, guys by the hundreds would friend request, try to hit on her, stalk her or call her every derogatory name in the book when they get mad. I'd hide it best I could if I were a girl just so you can actually play without the desperate kids

Mostly PC. A lot of my friends are super into the Sims.
