Yeah I'm with you but it is weird they touted it a couple years ago as an exclusive. You'd think they had a contract or something. I see a weird L.A. Noire-like limbo with this one.

I think it's an agreement between the publishers and console maker to keep a game exclusive for a period of time. Or the competing console maker gave them a good deal when they were only planning on one platform. Some day I think consoles will be like DVD players and play everything. You just pick your brand. But not any time soon.
Oversaturation of developers and publishers at each others throat is the reason, development costs keep rising along with inflation and the standards people expect. Combine this and you get developers going bust and games being cancelled or opened up to all platforms just to turn a coin.
Like no one saw this coming? You can basically bet that 95% of third party games will be multiplat. This is why I buy Sony and Nintendo systems. They actually have a first party to keep interest in their systems.
Apparently it hasn't been cancelled like a lot of people said but who knows if it will be exclusive to the PS3 or not. After all L.A Noire was once meant to be an exclusive and look how that turned out.
