I am really, really, really tired of playing all my games in standard definition just because my HDTV is 1080i and not 720p. I know alot of details about the new update have been floating around and i jut was wondering if anyone knew if the update would adress the HD scaling issue for people with HDTV's that dont run at 720p.

not in 1.6... I'd look for that later.. probably 2.0 or so..
I'm glad I found out mine supports 720p. So I don't have any problems. But I can see where you're coming from. My TV's a CRT HDTV and the guy at BestBuy (while he was very helpful, he didn't know everything) said it could not do 720p because CRT HDTV's could not handle that.. only 480i, 480p and 1080i. Well, I surprising proved him wrong when I set my HD cable box to only 720p and it worked. :P Sorry little tangent there. :P Upscaling would be nice though.
