Wow Mag is a bunch of bull****

I had to delete my Bayonetta demo and Uncharted 2 Behind the Scenes, spend 1 1/2-2 hours downloading, installing and updating only to find out that the servers won't be up until JANUARY 4TH.

What the ****.

Moral of the story is to get a bigger hard drive.

Oh ok so they are just allowing you to download it and have it ready, im dl'ing right now i erased it before but ill give it another shot I suppose, it will probably reconfirm my decision to wait a lil while after release to pick it up if i do.

was there a method to getting into games in the private beta bacause i got into like two the whole time but im not really sure how i did it

The game itself is alright, It takes about a dozen matches before you actually get into it. I'm not saying it sucks, but it does require a huge learning curve.

I love how everyone has written MAG off as being garbage, I find that hard to believe considering how much time I spent with the closed beta, it was fantastic. I was playing with full 128 players (as much as the BETA would allow) and it was single handedly the best running online FPS I've ever played. The scale of the battles and the numerous optional objectives which help turn the tide of the battle (destroying roadbloacks, depots, etc.) and pushing the enemy back. The graphics weren't mindblowing but considering how many people will be playing at once, that's virtually irrelevant.

dont worry itll be pretty good on launch...only reason people dont like it is because of its graphics and that its slightly different than other games...but you ask me it craps on BC2 anyday

Hope you like it. I thought it was very generic and average, but you might like it.

MAG is terrible anyway, you don't want to play it

anyone complaining about the buggy start of socom: confrontation needs to know one thing: the difference between zipper interactive and slant 6... one of the first online games i've played on pc (except modem to modem connection of c&c and warcraft) fanatically was crimson skies by zipper interactive, and that was back in year 2000... since then zipper proved to be a industry leader with its various online and offline playable games...

i have taken part in the closed public beta of mag for a brief time, and do agree that there is a learning curve, just as in any new original title (ip), there have been some problems as well, but this is why they release a closed public beta, to test the system and iron out the wrinkles...

on top of everything i think that we shouldn't be commenting on something based on pure hypothesis... just my two cents...

edit: btw it is neither sony nor zipper's problem if you do not read the information before you download the demo, you might not feel like reading but do not blame others for your lack of enthusiasm... :)

The open BETA is EPIC FAIL!!! First it's 250MB's to download, then there was already a 1.50 update which is another 36MB and finally there was a 1.8GB download which might of taken me 3-4 HRS to complete. Aghhhhh! I give up on this game. It probably sucks.email2003
