[QUOTE="guyhunter"]I'll stick to doing things the proper way; UPnP port forwarding!Imallvol7but no one seems to know the correct ports. do you?
Quoting myself from another thread.
The ports that need to be forwarded are:
TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 5223
UDP 3478
UDP 3479
UDP 3658
The ports above are the PSN ports, some online games also require extra ports to be open.
TCP 9293
TCP 10070-10080
UDP 10070
You do realise though that the point of UPnP port forwarding is that you don't need to trigger of forward any ports?
If you check my post history I've answered many threads on NAT3 to NAT2.
[QUOTE="Jakster4u"]WTF, I enabled it on mine and got NAT type 2, then it seemed to get slower. I enabled it awhile ago and tried to download the HS demo and it took freaken forever.guyhunter
LOL! That's the PSN servers being hammered not your connection!
I still didn't notice really any difference at all. I don't get signed out of the PSN anymore but it is still really slow.I'll stick to doing things the proper way; UPnP port forwarding!guyhunterI use NAT 2 and UPnP. :) Fast. I found that with NAT 3, I couldn't do certain things form my PS3. I think I remember that R6V or The Darkness wouldn't allow NAT 3. I forgets. But after changing to NAT 2. It worked.
Yeah sure. It's just like leaving your house and car keys in the doorknob outside. DMZ kills your firewall rules for that IP. Smart move there. I like it when people hack my PS3 and corrupt my saves.vitz3
??? i was told there was absolutly no worries with a ps3 on dmzImallvol7There are no worries. I don't know what the other guy is talking about. Turning on DMz only affects computers. The PS3 can't get a virus so it's okay. Don't turn on DMZ in your PS3 is running Linuz though, because then it can get viruses.
