Seriously, this isnt a xbox troll or anything, Im just getting pissed that I cant play resistance or any demos, because any time a game starts I get an error message saying "An error occurred during the start operation". Is this a system problem or am I just doing something wrong without knowing?

Hopefully nothing is wrong with the hard drive. Restart it and hope it loads right.

hmmm odd thing. I started the ps3 with resistance already inside, thats when I got those error's. took resistance out, rebooted and it works fine now, but Ive noticed ever since I first got it that the controller is acting odd, like it shuts itself off or wont quit the games from the ps menu, I wonder if the controller was some how funking up my game start up?

you can try backing up all your ps3 games and saves. format the HDD then reset the PS3 to default. if that doesn't fix it then call Sony

Also, a good idea (now that you can at least get to the XMB) is to update to the highest available firmware. Might clear up some issues as well.

Men it seems every piece of electronic equipment you have has a problem. You've said this about your TV, your DVD player, your PS3, your remote controller .... Men, you just got bad luck. Call Sony to help.

If you remember that the consoles needed updating before some of the launch game would work and Sony shipped a disc with the new firmware on it with all the launch consoles. Which frmware version do you have?
