Yes 93%
No 0%
Don't know 7%

Well I've started this poll to see what you guys think...I've had my PS3 Super Slim for a year now along with my old 360 console....I just want to know your thoughts on if the PS3 will last a few more years...I really hope it does with new releases of great and famous games...

Yes. It's just not going to get exclusive support like it did from 2006-2013.

Just look to the PS1 and PS2 to see the PS3 lifespan model. PS3 actually is going to have a longer life cycle it appears, however, much of the games coming now will be multiplats, your CODs, Maddens, FIFAs, and BFs, etc.

I doubt it. With the huge library, it doesn't matter to me. There is nothing wrong going back in the catalog and picking up some $1-$10 older games that have great gameplay and great graphics. There isn't a lack of great games on the ps3 unlike some other systems. I believe the ps3 is the greatest gaming system when it comes to amount of highly rated games.

PS2 last game was FIFA 14, PS3 has also more to offer with trophies, i think it's going to last longer. Wii and 360 got abandoned in 2012

Yes, the PS2 was OFFICIALLY DISCONTINUED until late 2012 and it´s last game was FIFA14, so you can expect more games to come yet for PS3.

I would not get your hopes up too high. The PS3 will receive games beyond 2016. But those will be mostly sports and budget titles. with the PS4 doing very well. Sony and the 2nd and 3rd party developers will rightly focus on PS4. While the PS3 with around 85 million will continue to receive games beyond 2016 but they will be few and far between.

Technically, yes. But nothing really substantial aside from sports games and maybe other smaller titles that will probably just be on the PS4 anyway. I'd say its productive lifespan is pretty much over, not that there aren't a ton of great games out there to play on it still if you haven't already.
