Hmmmm thats my dilema with it to be honest, I'd love a pirate game to come out and everything.
But it is AC and i honestly don't understand how anyone can like it, i mean 2 was the best in my eyes but even that bored me and i had to drag myself through that game, i mean seriously the sword fighting was awful, it was basicly a one button game for the most part, you start a fight you block it a few times and wait for the counter attack and there you go done, it was great eye candy but such a dumbed down game i've ever played, and all i see out of AC4 is the same old just with a pirate back drop, but we will see.

Yeah, I absolutely love the pirate setting. I wish more games made an open world based around the open sea.
In any case, I've never really been into the Assassin's Creed series having only played the second, but the previews for this game have me absolutely sold. I have the game preordered and ready to be sent to me launch day. I believe it will be the best pirate game ever made.

The only thing missing is being able to have online ship battles that are really strategic. I wan some 4v4 and 8v8 fleet vs fleet shit going on. Where you choose a weapon or 2 and some special abilities. Or a specific ship from a selection that sort of rock/paper/scissors each other balance wise.
I just want a really good pirate game with some cool ship battles. Like attacking other ships and land targets like forts.
I want to be able to do what pirates did back then. Like sword fighting, plunder the loot from ships after seizing them, find buried treasure, trade with merchants, drink some rum and grog, recruit men from towns, have multiple ships to choose from, upgrade my ships, be able to walk around in my ships in the different compartments, every ship to be/look different inside and out, and what whatever else I missed that pirates do.
I know it's a lot to ask, but I want all that in my pirate game.
I like all things that has to do with pirates like movies and the few pirate gamea there were. It has been awhile since there was a great pirate game, and that was Sid Meeir's Pirates! Gold.
Maybe but still not much of an Assassin's Creed sequel.AC2 was the best game in the series.
I really hope it's more similar to that. Because the Ezio trilogy might be the best action adventure trilogy this gen imho. Let's hope this one sets the record straight. Because i was dissaponted in 3
