Seems like nowadays games being able to be played online is like a HUGE factor. I mean, it's fun but i dont think its a big deal if a game doesnt have online. I'd much rather play through the Story of the game than play online. What about u?

its much more fun to play with real people who you can talk to then to sit throught a single player game by yourself. thats why i love games where you can play single player over the net with some one else.

yeah I feel you men but the thing is the gaming online community has been growing and now enough people want to have that option though most people are actually like you and don't really need online. However you should give it a go, it can be very good you know.
i used to love playing online especially when i played socom 1 and then 2 but most games arent as good as those were as far as being online for some reason IMO. Then I get tired of little kids and stupid people, online just brought the stupidest people in the world right to your living room basically. But i go on occasionally

I think online is almost always more fun than single player. There's much to be said for the human element. I guess it's like playing chess against comp. It's much better playing an actual person.

Love is such a big word. I would prefer saying I kind of enjoy it. I mean the only thing that's worth playing online now is resistance. I already killed marvel back in november. That game was so easy and soooo wack to play with people online.

Some games i like Co-op (sports, fighters,fps) more to just relax with the friends and others i love online (mostly fps games)because there are clans :)
A lot of people dont have people they can call over and play their game with. Thats why they go online. Its addictive, and A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE PISSED:evil: because they cant get online everytime they want.
Online just adds alot of replay value and for that i admire them.You may get bored of the campaign or whatever, but if there is online, you can always go back to that afterwards..
Dont care much about online. Id rather have a game with 50 hours of gameplay and no online than a game with 10 hours gameplay (like Gears of war) and multiplayer that totally blows.
Well you can have both the single player experience and online experience like Metal Gear 3 Subsistence. I played through the story mode and loved every single bit of it. Now I do nothing but play online with others. I think the online feature is great! The arcades around me all closed down so I could never test my skills with other players so a game having online is great for me. I can't wait to play Tekken 6 and MEtal Gear 4 on PS3. Oooooo Yea.
it depends on what game, i like playing online for some games but for others single player seems like the better choice. Socom 1 and 2 single player sucked my small nuts but online was great. Online is the only reason that I keep playing PS2 even though I have PS3 and resistance. Pwning noobs > next gen
It depends on the game. I wouldn't be caught dead playing FPS offline. Its boring even if it has a decent story line. Sports as well is better online. The fact you can play with others across the wolrd makes the replay value of games very high. I mean I love my RPPs offline, but their are certain games that online is a must and if they didn't have a good online experience I won't be spending my hard earned cash on the game. (If I knew Gears online play was as bad as it is I wouldn't of bought it)
In my opinion I think its always best to play a human opponent because the computer does things, that makes you wonder "WTF?" hahahaha plus its much much more challenging.

Online is a big deal because after you finish the story you can move on and test your skills with enemies that are smarter and will do anyting to beat you.Without online then you are left alone w8ing for the next game to continue the story.
Sorry got so excited about what Kahuna_1 said and others said about SOCOM, I forgot about the topic. Personally, I Love a good online game like SOCOM 1 and 2, but as said by many before, I love the single player aspect the most. Playing through a great story is my fav.
I never really got into online mostly because I never bought the network adapter for the ps2 and wasnt much into PC gaming. Now CoD3 online has been my most played for the past 2 months.
