I'm gonna get a HDMI cable with it what does this do having one of these?and which one should I get?

You already get one with the 60gb version and you connect it to the hdtv to enable high definition

why on earth would you buy something that you didnt know what it does. HDMI is a cable for HD video and audio. Better be sure your tv has an HDMI input before you go buying one.
