What was your first PS3 game? Was it a hit or a miss?

I'm just curous, what was your very first PS3 game and was it a hit or a miss in your opinion.

My PS3 is still relatively new (had it since mid August 2010) and the very first game I got for it was Batman Arkham Asylum. Boy was I pleased how that turned out. I still consider that game the best action adventure this gen. It does combat, stealth, and exploration all at top tier quality. It also offers a set of challenges to master as well as secrets and clues tosearch for in an open world environmentso it basically nails everything I want in a game.

My first PS3 exclusive was inFAMOUS and I was also extremely pleased with that game. It still stands as my favourite new IP this gen. The thing that shines sowell in this game is the amazing combat.The powers may mostly mimick tropes of the shootergenre such as grenades and rocket launchers, but the diference here is that all of these powers are readily available at your fingertips. You are able to use any ability you want as you seefit for the situation. The open world also plays a good role in the combat as it allows for a strategic aproach to the battle. I've found that the way you aproach a group of enemies to be very important and the open world allows you to aproach ina vast number of ways. When I got this game I played only this game for months every time a sat down to enjoy my favourite pass time. I didn't stop until I had my platinum.

Same. When i first played LBP I thought it was a bit mediocre but then i went online and shared levels and it was fun

I got Motorstorm Pacific Rift free with my PS3 when I first got it in late 08 and i'd say it meets the suffice of my gaming needs

KIllzone 2, in between hit and miss, killzone 3 was a miss though.

I got it christmas 09 with Uncharted 2 and Little Big Planet. I played UC2 first but prefered LBP

I got Resistance with my PS3 and man, oh boy... it was good stuff. Me and my brothers must have completed that game at least 5 times.

First game was Resistance. I had a launch 60gb console, and that seemed liked the only solid game at the time. I didn't really enjoy it that much, but I guess it was an alright FPS.

Resistance Fall of Man and I still play thru it now and again awesome game.

and bought fear, madden 07, untold legends, and spider-man 3

Genji: Days of the Blade and Full Auto 2. They were the only 2 games which looked cool at the release date, needless to say they were a big mess.

UC2 was the first game to go into my ps3, then it's a toss up between KZ2, Dead Space, and AC2 since I got them all at the same time.

I got Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction with my launch 40gb. It kept me hooked for quite some time.

Bought a fat 40 just for MW2. little did I know I would actually end up feeling that I bought a PS3 for the, at that time, unreleased Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Sold MW2, still playing BBC2

MGS4 when i finally picked up a PS3 Slim. Freaking loved that game. Still do.

2. Valkyria Chronicles. MISS.

3. God of War 3. HIT.

Liking the PS3 for the most part :)

MGS 4, Resistance: FOM and Uncharted. I purchased my PS3 with those 3 games. I enjoyed all of them.

Coming off the Ratchet games on my PS2. I got R&CF:TOD with my 40gb PS3 in July 2008.

It was a good game yes but for whatever reason, what I loved so much about the PS2 games just wasn't there anymore. I liked the game, just not as much as I wanted to. Good first game though (first time seeing PS3 graphics in HD *drools* lol)

The really sad thing tho is that after Tools, my love for the series began to die out. I got QFB and ACiT still tho.

QFB has been off my HDD for almost 2 years now cuz there just no replay value or any incentive to want to play it anymore. ACiT was actually pretty fun but upon getting Platinum, I just don't want to play it anymore. The game just lacks something special that the PS2 games had. The humor just sounds forced now. All in all I guess the light just died out........EULOGY OVER!!!!!LOL

My first PS3 game was The Simpsons game. I liked it enough to beat it. Now I have 85 PS3 games. My fave console this gen.

my first ps3 games were ncaa basketball 2k7 and virtua tennis 3(cheap on amazon when bought my ps3), 2k7 was the best basketball game id played at that time(nba 2k11 is the new bball king), virtua tennis 3 was ok but i sold it when i moved on to better games. best ps3 game for me is between uncharted 2, fifa 11, and heavy rain.

Uncharted 2, it turned out to be my favourite game this gen.

The first game I got for the PS3 was Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. It was a good game.

Every game is amazing to me in 2006 b/c is fresh. Like resistence, perfect dark zero and even condeme. untill then ps4.

resistance 2, the online play was top notch

First PS3 game for me was Battlefield: Bad Company

Got my PS3 June of 2009.

Mine was Socom: Confrontation. That was a huge miss.

GTA4 definetly a hit there excellent game despite being overatted plus Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction. Not a bad start I say.

Resistance: Fall of Man. I have good memories of that game. Gamespot had a Resistance tournament that was pretty fun.

I got my PS3 in August 2007 and the 2 games that came with it were Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man. Both were great games, and Motorstorm still remains one of the most visually stunning games on the PS3.
