What was the first next gen game you played, & what was your first impressio

Obviously around launch there was not the multitude of games we have now, so a few answers might over lap, but I got my PS3 in Jan 08 & it came with Beowulf. I was so excited as I plugged everything it, loaded it up, then discovered that the new system didn't necessarily mean everything was going to be great! The game was disappointing.

Luckily the next few games raised the bar considerably, & now I could never go back, not even for the classics like DAH & Shadow of the Colossus!

i got my playstation 3 a week after they were released. So i got mine the week of black friday in november of 2006. It came with the launch game Resistance, and when i played it my mind was officially blown, literally i was in awe of the awesomeness

Assassin's Creed. I was amazed at the graphics.

My first next gen console was the PS3. The first game I played was one of the Madden games. (I don't remember what year of Madden it actually was.) Anyway, I didn't see too big of a leap. The next game I played was Oblivion. It was then that it became clear how big of a leap the PS3 was compared to the PS2 and Xbox.

First next gen game I played on any system would be....hmmm...it would have to have been on PC (because it received 360 games) or 360 (as it came out first), so maybe Oblivion or PGR3 in the stores.

As for PS3, I played sonic in the store or something, but the first one I bought (got a PS3 almost a year ago now) was Infamous and Killzone 2, playing Infamous first.

Got mine on launch day here in Ireland 27th March 2007!! I bought F1, Tiger Woods & Motorstorm with it. I played Motorstorm firstand just sat there open mouthed thinking WOW!.............just WOW!

My first was Turok. I actually wanted Resistance, but apparently one of the employees at Gamestop had taken it home to play it, so all they had in the store was the empty box. Thanks Gamestop. :roll: So I got Turok - the graphics looked nice, I was pretty impressed. But the gameplay absolutely stunk, like someone went through the whole thing and took out anything that might be fun and replaced it with something frustrating.

my first game was gt5 prologue it was a bundle with my ps3 and when i pluget every thing i was blown away :D

Resistance 1 for me and boy, i couldn't pick my mouth up from the floor.

NFS: Most Wanted on the 360 was my first "next gen" game, I thought it looked amazing. On the os3 however my first games were Motorstorm and R:FoM and they blew me away.ryrulez

The first game I played for PS3 was CoD3. It wasn't even in HD (didn't have a hdtv at the time) but WOW! It was still impressive to me back then.

It was Call of Duty 2 for the 360 actually. It was awesome and remains my favorite FPS to this date.

For the PS3 though it was Resistance. It was ok. Nothing special, but I guess a solid launch title.

The first game I played as soon as I got my Ps3 was Folklore, it was a cool game and I loved it at the time..like 3 years ago. I never did beat it though and had gotten rid of it since. I should try it out again.

The first one was Condemned for the 360 i was blown away by the graphics.

Ratchet and Clank TOD was an amazing game.

On PS3 it was AC2, it was good while it lasted

On 360 is was Hitman:Blood Money, greattttt game.

I played Resistance, it was cool because of the AI, animations and the co-op with my bro, nothing groundbreaking, but ONLINE was great and the graphics were decent, but I was really blown away by the first game I owned, which was Oblivion which was amazing.

The first next gen game I played was Resistance 1 for PS3 back in December 2006. Then about 6 months later I got Tom Clancy's rainbow 6 vegas.Both aer still awesome games, with multiplayer still loyally supported today.

The first "next gen" game I played was Kameo when I bought my 360. I had a shiny new 720p Samsung HDTV and I was amazed at the level of detail. Kameo was such an underrated game. As for my first PS3 game it was Ridge Racer 7. Played it in 720p on that Samsung, but I was truly amazed when I played it on my first 1080p set. Ridge Racer isn't what it once was in its prime, but I've played each and every one of them. Love that drifting!

Metal Gear Solid 4 because I had bought the MGS4 Bundle. I was amazed at the graphics.

Resistance: Fall of Man. It blew me away with its massive levels...I don't know why I only played through it once...Hmmm well after a play through of fallout 3 I should try it out again.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Really disappointed, nothing like the old ones, was ready to go back to my PS2 but my PS3 came with MGS4, and until then I had never even heard of Metal Gear Solid. Needless to say, I loved it.

With my PS3 I got Motorstorm, and Resistance: Fall of Man. The first game I played was Motorstorm, and my first impressions were the outstanding visuals :)

I played burnout paradise foirst on my old 26' tv. But playing it for the first time on a new hdtv just blew my brains

when I got my PS3 I Ratchet and Clank: TOD. I was amazed.

weeks later I got Burnout Paradise. I was even more amazed.

then it was GTA 4, and well, you know....

...I fainted with amazment (almost)

i bought MGS4 together with my PS3, so that was it. the game has one of the coolest menus i've ever seen. :D

First PS3 game was Resistance: FOM at launch, drools........

The first next gen game I played was Halo 3 on Xbox360, followed by Unreal 3 and Gears Of war ... I was blown away. But I got sick of FPS game and got a PS3. On the PS3 the first game I played was MGS4 and man ... I got blown away again.

Resistance or Warhawk i think. And with Warhawk i thought, man i've been out to long of the 3rd person shooters:o
