hey i have never played owned or cared for the psp but my fiance wants one for the kingdom hearts game thats coming out, stole my ds for 385/2 days, and i dont have much money to buy a psp and i was wonder if i got him a 1000 series if its just as good at the 3000 or should i save up and get a go? hes expressed wanting a go and how downloading the game would be easier then carrying them around but im not to keen on how the whole thing works either. im looking for the best route to go i do get a slight discount on used systems per my job but like the ps3 is that a bad route to go? ive seem the specs and how much more efficent the 3000 is compared to to 1000 and read reviews on the Go but i still cant seem to decide. any suggestions or advice? also i know the game doesnt come out for awhile but his birthday is in june and i wanted to get the system for him then, he wants to play crisis core as well

I'm told that the 2000 is actually the best model. Some people think the 1000's build quality is still the best and that the 3000s screen has interlacing issues. I want to buy a psp, but Sony just isn't letting me at the moment.

psp 1000 doesnt look like its built cheaply like the 2000/3000. But the screen has a horrible screen its so reflective. The 3000 has ghost/graphic issues in some games. I would just get a used psp or a new 3000 if i was in your boat.

If your fiance like the pspgo, just get him that one. It's better to give him something he really likes. If it's out of your budget, get a psp 3000. The newer the model the better it is imo. Some games on the psp 2000 have some ghosting issue. Also if you got skype, the psp 3000 has a built in mic unlike the psp 2000.

Check ebay. I won the other day a psp 3000 for $133 brand new. I wasn't planning on buying one, I was just playing around to see if I win. lol. Ebay has some decent deals if you check it very often.

Also, another good thing about the psp (1000-3000) is that you can buy cheap games compared to digital games. You got more options. I just won a couple of bids at ebay.

The Dracula X Chronicles GH (PSP) New & Factory Sealed! $14.95

New Dragonball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road PSP Video G $14.99

Silent Hill Origins for PSP Rare Brand New Fact. Sealed $5.74

Wild ARMs XF PSP PlayStation Portable BRAND NEW* $25.99 (I know this one is expensive but I am a diehard wild arms fan)

NEW Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII PSP game greatest hit $7.56

Shin Megami Tensei Persona PlayStation Portable PSP NEW $8.58

Dissidia Final Fantasy (PlayStation Portable, 2009) $20.00

JEANNE D'ARC NEW AND SEALED PSP GAME!!! $8.99

Tenchu: Shadow Assassins New PSP $12.59

That's what I hear. If you search for reviews on the 3000, it's actually hard to find a good one. IGN called it a step backwards from the 2000.

Well the 2000 has blurring issues, so it's pick your poison type of deal. Plus, the 3000 does has more vibrant colors and better brightness than the 2000. I wouldn't bother with the Go, unless you're all ga-ga on the compact design. The lack of UMD, internal battery, the smaller screen, having only one outlet source for games and the heavier price tag, just doesn't sit well with me.

...and the 3000 is not a step backwards. The Go however.
