Six years late......but it will come. Bet its broken when it does.
I am still optimistic. Even though the game is 6 years in development, the development itself hasn't really changed hands. Team Ico has a good track record so I am still excited.
No but yeah it'll come eventually, and no, it won't be broken after such a long development, especially if we remember Ico and SOTC. It just kinda annoys me we've gone through a whole generation without the game (KHIII ehem ehem)
Anyone remember when Versus FFXIII was first announced? (now retitled FFXV) 2006. Yeah, flipping 2006. And it's actually gonna have a demo real soon. And then on store shelves soon, if you can frikking believe it.

So yeah, I'd say Last Guardian still has a sliver of hope.

Yeah but in a game like this? I dunno, if you consider Journey a co-op game in that you help each other minimally then yeah, that kind of stuff could work, but if you mean more interaction I don't think any game from this team is gonna have co-op, it doesn't seem like the type of experience they want to offer in their games, no?
@Lulu_Lulu: I never played co-op in portal... infact I rarely play co-op at all unless a game is exclusively co-op... the exception being dark souls. No but yeah, a mellow game like the kind Team ICO make? If it has anything co-op-ly I'd rather not hear someone else chat on the other end :S.
Also you're mistaken... anything with Wheatly is perfection!
Well to be fair.... Wheatly isn't in the Co-Op Campaign, :p
also I play all my co-op games locally...with a friend.... in addition to someone chatting in my ear I also get to do Bro Fist Bumps everytime something cool happens, for me its more about the bonding experience than it is about the game its self.... Some people can watch a movie together and amplify the experience they get from it than they would have if they were watching it alone. I like to believe games can be the same way...
@Lulu_Lulu: yeah that's a good point of view, but if the person i'm with is chatting to me throughout the entire movie, i might accidentally murder them. That's why co-op is fine for me, but if they make it so it adds to the experience rather than just there for the feature
Lately I've been encouraging a friend of mine to use the Ping tool more often.... I wanted to see what this lil experiment would do to the over all experience if we communicated the way the game intend via in game gestures and Commands..... Lost Planet 2 was surprizingly good at this... I think it had over a hundred gestures and you could have 8 of them active at a time....
I've lost count of how long I've been anticipating this game, but I still choose to be optimistic. Hopefully it'll be released on the PS4, if it actually gest released at all. As for co-op (considering that appears to be something a lot of you would like), I don't really care whether or not that becomes reality, but that's mostly because I wouldn't have anybody to play with. Which, I suppose, makes me sound kind of selfish, haha.
