My only complaint is I wasn't ready for it to be over when I had completed all there is to do. But it's also one of those that it's a great game to put away for a month or two and then bring it back out for another great experience.
Haven't played either, but I'm way more interested in Sleeping Dogs. After I've beaten it, I think I'm more likely to go back and play Sleeping Dogs - even if I'm just goofing around with the crazy action of driving, brawling and causing mayhem - whereas I don't imagine I'd ever revisit Assassin's Creed III. Plus, I just have a major weakness for the stupid fun to be had in open world games like GTA, Saints Row, Just Cause 2, Crackdown, etc. So, Sleeping Dogs looks like it's definitely more my kind of game.

I havn't played Sleeping Dogs yet but have been wanting to get it. AC3 does take alittle bit to get moving but once it does it is a very good game with a bunch of side quest and other things to do, if you like doing all the side stuff then you would enjoy it more.

Sleeping Dogs is shorter but a much better game overall. Besides, take out the first 5 sequences of AC3 (which is basically a tutorial up until that point), and the length is probably about the same as Sleeping Dogs.

I mean it is actual gameplay (nice little payoff from it), but that's pretty much true lol.
