My PS3 just died today and I was wondering if anyone knows of any place that rents them out. I remember that Blockbuster used to rent older consoles, but I don't think they do anymore.

Have you called Sony tech support yet because usually they can help you get the system up and running over the phone unless you happen to have gotten one of the few defects. And if you happen to have one there fairly fast with customer support.

YES - Blockbuster video rents PS3 and 360 consoles. Here's the thing they will require a deposit on an actual credit card and they will not accept Debit cards - must be actual credit card.

At least this is the case at my local BlockBuster - so I would think most if not all would have the same console rental policy.

But yeah - still send yours in, but while you're waiting check BlockBuster. Also check Hollywood Video as they have one of the largest game store franchises in the U.S. (GameCrazy) - so there is a good chance they rent consoles as well.

NVM My console wasn't dead, my sister's house is just wierdly wired. I checked it on two outlets and they happened to be controlled by two different switches in two different rooms. It's like M.C. Escher did the electrical work in this house lol.

Don't rent a PS3 because it is a complete ripoff. You are better saving and buying a brand new ps3. Rent-A-Center used to charge $30 a week to rent a PS3. After 30 weeks and $900 later, it is yours to keep according to a website. Biggest ripoff.

I remember watching a judge judy court case and a person rented a ps3 after launch and she owed $2500 to a rent-a-center, aarons or someother place.

Blockbuster used to do this. All Blockbusters in my region are extinct. But there is a independant Videogame/PC store that does rental on systems. Maybe you have a similar shop next to you.

You need a credit Card to do this.
