I've played and loved this game on Wii U and decided to try it out on PS3. I had a blast playing over an hour yesterday and 100% completing the first world among other things. When I booted it up today, the continue option was not selectable and I had to restart from scratch. What the heck happened?

Is this a problem with the PS3 version? Has anybody else experienced this? I could stop the Wii U version at any point I wanted and it saved everything every time.

Needless to say, I'm very pissed I wasted all that time yesterday.

It did it again. I played for a while today and kept exiting back to the main menu to see if the game was saving and it was. Then I turned off the system from the main menu being careful to see that the saving icon was finished animating. When I came back to it the continue option was not available...

Why is my PS3 version of this game not saving?

I've heard of this before, though only vaguely. I just did a quick google search and there isn't a conclusive solution I can see. Some people are reporting that if the continue option is greyed, try exiting the game and restarting it until the save file loads properly.

There is an alternative you could try here.

I'm afraid I cannot confirm or test these myself, because I bought this game on PS Vita, not PS3. Sorry.

Good luck.
