any idea on what could have happened, and how to fix it ??

Sounds like it's bricked.

Wait for an unbricking expert to help you.

Or send it to Sony.

Try taking out the battery, blowing it off, sticking it back in. Make sure its fully plugged in.

Also, this happens to a pandora battery when there is no (or a non formatted) memory stick in. It could be due to the pandora's battery you have in.

If this don't work, pray its not bricked. If you purchased a warranty, send it in to sony and they'll fix her up good:)

Turn it on and tell me if it turns off by itself. If it comes off after 10 seconds.... then it's bricked  If it doesn't come off, then something is wrong with your battery.

its crapped up. Mine will have a problem where while im in the middle of playing it just turns off. Send it to Sony. Or see if you have a warranty on it.

If it's under warranty then probably not....otherwise yes, it will cost. Have you tried the "take out the battery for a minute" trick? This will force the PSP to reset to it's system settings.

If it's a phat, you might want to wait and just get the 3000. It's supposed to have a much better screen and will be a big jump for you tech-wise.

DUDE!!! This really helped, but i left it alone without the battery for like an hour and a half. but it worked nonetheless.

EDIT: oh crap, it's bricked again?
