So my old PSP 3000 suffered several problems of old age, including a drifting analog stick, loose shoulder triggers and a power switch that WOULD NOT turn off, only sleep. However, the screen was perfect.
I hocked it to someone looking for a spare and picked up a new PSP 3000, only to find it suffers from the 'white border issue'. It looks a lot like this:
...with the exception that the white border dips below the bezel where the D-pad is. I find it incredibly distracting. From the information I can find online this isn't an uncommon problem, but I've yet to hear of a solution.
Have any of you experienced this? Would replacing the screen with an after-market one fix it, or are they susceptible to this issue as well?
