I was just wondering if PS3 has VGA cables out like Xbox 360 does. My friend owns an Xbox 360 but has a very old TV, he bought the VGA cables so he could play on his monitor and the games look so much better. Here is a link to the Xbox 360 version.

Basically just 360 to monitor plus speakers.

Are there VGA cables, such as these, out for the PS3 or does anyone know if they are in the making? Cause basically I am in the same boat as my friend with an outdated TV set.

Everytime I ask the people at EB Games or Gamestop about this they pull out the HD cables and I try explaining to them that this is not right and they get confused.

no it does not exsist unfortunatly, apparently the ps3 doesn't do well with monitors.

if you have a monitor with a DVI connection that supports hdcp then you can get a hdmi to dvi cable... also you can get a component to vga transcoder and do it that way.

example of a 3 foot hdmi to dvi cable Link -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- example of a component to vga transcoder Link ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- for the first example to work you must have a monitor that supports HDCP over DVI if not then you can get some component cables for your ps3 and do the 2nd example
