I turned my ps3 on and this came up : http://bit.ly/PS73co ( IT SAYS 3.01 BUT ITS MEANT TO SAY 4.25) So i did the on screen instructions. I put in a memory stick with The update in it like this : storage media-----PS3-----UPDATE-----PS3UPDAT.PUP - ( it is 4.31). Also i formatted it too FAT32! Pressed start and select and it said CHECKING... after it finished checking it started to update the software, it finishes at 100% then a screen comes up saying "a serious error has occurred 8002f281, contact technical support.." Someone said its a HDD problem should i connect it to the computer and reformat it?
read on the French forum it is a HDD problem and some solved it by removing the HDD, removing all screws and putting them back and tightening the screw the best you can
