3 PS+ free games for PS4 instead of just the normal 2 games expected? Wow. We almost got 4 games, but there were Drive Club PS+ problems. This marks the 20th free PS+ game to arrive on PS4. That PS+ free game output is more impressive by comparison if you have been following the other system's games the last three months (only 7 total games). These PS+ free titles are available in a few days on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7th.

Numbers wise, it works out to 20 free PS+ PS4 games since launch!

As far as PS3 goes, they did give Batman Arkham City for free back in April 2014, so I guess they wanted to give the first Batman game to complete the set.

Pix the Cat is a brand new game, so that's interesting. PS+ has been good at delivering brand new games to the PS+ service including last month's GS 9.0 AAA scoring Velocity 2x and even launch title 8.0 Resogun to name a few of the new PS+ games we got before they were rated by the critics.

Capcom's D&D is two games in one for PS3, it's an old school arcade brawler. It's pretty good for that type of arcade Capcom brawler. Spelunky I own as well on four platforms (PC, PS3, 360, and Vita), and it's a fun game, although hard. I'll be happy to get Spelunky again on PS4 and see how far I can on the PS4 version. I know Drive Club fanatics will be excited to try that out. Batman AA was fantastic, but I've beat it a few times.

I'm glad for new game Pix the Cat, the RPG Rainbow Moon, and go at the very hard but fun platformer of Spelunky again. I wish I was into Driving games, still I'll boot up Drive Club and give it a spin I guess. I'll check out Dust as well, although I have Dust on Steam and 360, but I never got into it.

Yes Dust was an amazing game on 360. Now I get it for free on ps4, sweet.

Not really impressed about this month other then the fact that I can try out drive club before purchasing the full game.

@marcheegsr: i decided to get ps+ back in April, in June they changed how it works. It seems all I've got are a bunch of indie games on the ps4, and not much better on the ps3 ether. I'm not complaining about free games. last year it seemed ps+ was getting all these AAA games, since I decided to go plus I've been like meh towards the games.

I've been a ps pus member for a few years now. I am satisfied overall but last year was defiantly better. Just recently the games have been not too appealing. But that's my opinion. One of the main reasons I kept my ps3 was for ps plus. I also have a vita.

I realize it's still early on for the ps4 so we can't expect big titles right away for free. Hoping it gets better in the next few months.

Yeah, with the PS4 (and Xbone) so new Sony and publishers are reluctant to throw up the big AAA titles, but I miss the Instant Game Collection approach exclusive to PS+.

I guess Drive Club is a step in the right direction. I think we'll start seeing launch titles for PS+ PS4 eventually, like Knack or Killzone.

Kinda misleading since it's 6 unique games plus Drive Club, which makes sense not to count towards the normal dose of IGC games. I just don't see any appeal in any of these games aside from Drive Club, I guess. And I already played Batman years ago. But I'll be happy if Drive Club turns out to be any good and the stripped-down PS+ version can keep me occupied enough if I like it.

Shame about PS3. I would figure that nearly everyone with a PS3 already has Batman Arkham Asylum (6 year old game) especially when PS+ had it on sale for $5 a few months ago. They seem to always do this. Sell a good game for a nice deal and then a couple months later, they put it as an instant game. For me now, PS+ is about the discounts and especially those flash deals.

Just Drive Club for me.

Dust is an amazing game though, if you haven't played it already, enjoy!

I'll go for Dust and try Drive Club to see if its worth buying for me.

Spelunky looks good but I'll play mostly on VITA.

I wish that it was a different Batman game, one of the newer ones would have been better, I played that one too much.

PS+ has been worth it during the first year of the Playstation 4. offering 20 free rentals on games including a few new ones. Pix the cat must be a sequel to fritz the cat. Playstation plus has been a decent value

Drive club doesn't count since it's a glorified demo.

20 PS+ free games really showcases that it really has been an incredible output for PS+ since launch for $50 a year. Not just of quantity of PS+ titles, but of quality rated games when referencing metacritic or comparing to the competition's lower scoring games offered on their service. Especially considering the competition's more expensive $60 service has only rolled out 7 games in the same time frame since launch and repeated games month to month with signs pointing to continuing to repeat games monthly and offer only one new game a month for $60 a year.

When did Sony state this? Link please.

I've guessed way back in 2013 when the PS4/Xbone were announced that both companies would roll out AAA retail level titles by the end of this year 2014 or early next year 2015. However, I never saw either company make a bold statement like that. It could have happened, but you would need to verify that with a link. I don't recall either company ever stated such and asked consumers to put them on a timetable.

I don't see the benefit of that at all for them as a company.

I don't care about Drive Club (or driving games at all as I stated days ago). Without having played it, it's pointless to discuss again as it was a hot topic months ago, but not for me since I don't care about the game. I once said that I hope it gets cancelled since I don't care for racing games. If it's a demo or it never releases ever, I won't care. I am just happy about the three other free games releasing for PS4 this month. I never once brought up Drive Club, you brought that up in what seems to be an attempt to change the subject from that claim you made. I only am discussing that claim you made. I

I'm only interested in such a link where Sony said what you claimed they said. There is no benefit to them saying that as the competition is offering far less games with their more expensive service, so it's a rather surprising and unnecessary claim for PS+, especially given the huge sales divide between consoles as well.

Obviously downloading Drive Club. I'll also give Dust a download as well.

I'm only interested in such a link where Sony said what was claimed. I'm impressed that we were told we would get two free PS+ games a month and this month we are getting four games. That's literally the opposite of what's going on with the other console service where we got one new game for the last two months (& one recycled game). My least favorite of the four free PS+ games is that driving game and and don't care to discuss anything about that product since I have no interest in playing or discussing racing or sports games. That is an attempt to change the subject from the link but I'm only waiting for the link. There are other users who would be better suited to discuss racers with you.

I like fighting games and I know those aren't everyone's cup of tea. I will DL everything as I have family that have broader tastes. When they visit they may want to try the racer out.

Not sure what people expect, there free games on plus, 360 went a whole gen before giving there paying customers something free.

PS4 can't give top quality games out so soon, and indie games are good, just because there not one person's cup of tea, there are 5 people who love the game, and PS3 Batman is a great game, yes maybe most have played it, but alot would of sold it, and it is a good enough game to travel through it again before the new one comes out.

Honestly I may not like many of the games what are released on PS+ but I'm greatful for them, and plus alot of them are new games to consoles as well, and were getting them for free pretty much.

Not bad. Already have Rainbow Moon, but I'm excited for DC and the first Batman game. Not bad at all.

With the release of Driveclub, many were waiting for the free (you need to pay £€¥$ for this) PlayStation Plus edition, promised for today (yesterday), but it simply didn’t appear with the rest of the PlyStation Plus content.

The strange thing is that Sony isn’t making any comment about it, at all, anywhere, and fans are definitely starting to get upset about it.

The only comment from Evolution about the issue is that the game is having server problems and they are being addressed, while the company is investigating if there’s a “wider issue” behind the errors. This might be the cause behind the delay, as Sony might not want to irremediably clog already malfunctioning servers, but even in this case, communication would be the key, and thus far communication did not happen.

We’ll keep you updated on the issue, and let you know whether the game’s free edition appears or at least we get word from Sony, but for the moment silence reigns.

Update 4:45 PDT: apparently the good folks at PlayStation Universe got word from Sony that the PlayStation Plus edition will be online “within the next hour or so”

Update: 7:37 PDT: since the “hour or so” has passed, we’ve reached out to Sony ourselves requesting further information, and we’ll update if they get back to us with anything relevant.

You have avoided anything to do with the proof I posted about drive club being dumbed down on ps plus. That of course is if it ever even makes it there.

So, it's official. Sony didn't say what you claimed at all. You either lied deliberately or out of ignorance, but you still lied. Those links do not say Sony said anything, they point to some anonymous insider.

There you go. For months you chose to believe some source was Sony and spouted off "SONY SAID" yadda yadda yadda. Sony never said that, you were quoting some random internet source who CLAIMED Sony said that. There is a HUGE difference.

Well, I bought it for $15 on 360 before I sold it. I played 14 and 1/2 hours playing it. I has a pretty good story, the boss fights were good, the game atmosphere was good. I was pretty satisfied with the ending too. It's actually a pretty long and solid game for $15. But with ps+, there isn't any reason you shouldn't play it.

Some anonymous person said something and you took it as Sony saying something. You wanted to believe that source and pin it on Sony. It wasn't Sony. You are fixated on a single company when all the companies are proven liars. However, this situation right here Sony did not claim what you said they claimed (releasing non-indy games by the end of the year).

Sony didn't lie about releasing non indy games. Sony never said that. That means you were the liar in this situation by claiming that an anonymous source was Sony when it wasn't. What's next? Anonymous insiders claiming to work for Xbox, Nintendo, Capcom, EA, Activision, Konami, and more all of the sudden can speak for those companies? No. That's not how it works. You can say an anonymous source claims something, but that source does NOT represent any of the companies.
