Post PS4 sales predictions there

I think the PS4 will sell 10 million units sold by the end of July because current trends indicate that the PS4 is selling 1 million units per month. So if it continues to sell 1 million units per month, it will reach 10 million by the end of July. If you have any other sales predictions for the PS4, feel free to post it here.

@BattleSpectre: I would not be surprised if it surpassed 20 million units by the end of the year.

And people are saying console gaming is dying, pffffft.

I think as long as they keep to their word with release dates of upcoming games, they should have no problems surpassing 15 or 20 million units by year end.

I would venture a 20-22m unit sold buy '14's end. If Sony announces some Q4 release dates of major franchises at E3, they might just eclipse 25m. I know it's short notice from a marketing standpoint, but they'd be foolish not to try and distance themselves even further from their competition.

@Nagmis: I would like the PS4 to reach PS2 sales number by the end of this gen. Do you think this is possible?

@osai789: That's a very tall order. I think 100m is viable. The only thing holding them back is their software lineup. If they can get as much quality content out as regularly as possible, I think PS can win back some ship jumpers from last gen. An 'arcade' model would catapult the console even further ahead. Drop the 500gb HDD to something smaller, say 40gb, and the price point could be around the magic $299 level.

114 million LTD. Why not 115 million? Because it will only sell 114 million. As for the end of this year I'd put it at around 17.5 million.

If they have a solid E3 17 million by Nov. If their showing at E3 is weak or a disaster, then 12-14 million. If several more of the highly anticipated 3rd party titles are pushed to 2015 then the momentum might start to wane.

By the end of the year I would say the PS4 is capable of selling 12-15 million units. Summer is generally slow, but I think Sony can sell a few million units.

I could see Sony approaching 9-10 million units by the end of summer and that is a "conservative estimate". The holiday season will push it between the 12-15 million mark which will be extremely impressive.

Because its not as good as the PS2 was.
