personally I bought this on PC due to the hype and hated the game. Never got past saving the nurse on the first planet. Just bored me and I normally like RPGs

wow...you need to play further man. did you also not enjoy KOTOR? because if not..I could have told you that would happen. personally I'd love for mass effect on the ps3...will it happen? never. but damn would that be sweet. but i'm not paying 60 dollars for ME 1 if it did come out..hells to the nah
I don't see why anyone would pay full price for ME 1 at this point....that would be highway robbery. But I would definitely pay full price if ME 2 were to make its way to the PS3.
I'd for sure buy a late released ME2 full price and I'd also buy the first game if it was totally worked up from the beginning and had some extra features like more planets or a RE5 like onlineco-op option for replayablity. WE FINALLY GO VIDEO BACK UP FEATURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE 2.70
Mass Effect is a great game. ME2 will hopefully be even better. But from what I hear, it's not coming to the PS3. Just get it for PC, thats what I did!
I hate this game as it was advertised as a "RPG", not an action-RPG or a shooter-RPG, simply a "RPG", which it isn't it's a shooter with character customization but the action phases are viewed like Gears of war ; I'll compare it to Wing commander 3 : great story, space opera, shooting ; the RPG elements are minimal.
It was hyper hyped as Microcrap put so munch money in it that they did a huge commercial campaign.
I dont understand why EA wouldnt put it on the ps3. It is not microsoft owned. It just makes buisiness sense for EA to put it on PS3.

I don't think that Bioware have the skill, or will, to produce first class PS3 titles at the moment. So my theory is that EA is shopping for another software house to port the game, which could take some time and maybe never happen. But who knows, maybe there's some IP owned by MS that holds back a PS3 release.
for the PS3 fanboys who are hating the franchise for the mere fact that at the moment its only on PC and 360, your being foolish. i own both 360 and PS3, and Mass Effect is an awesome game, and i don't tend to like exclusives ever (i want everyone to be able to play and no one excluded), i really do hope that Mass Effect 1 and 2 get released (if not at least a late release) for the Playstation 3. it is a great game and i would definelty pick up both for the PS3.

I tried it on my laptop but I couldn't get it to run smoothly (as expected). But from what I Could get out of it I seemed Like a game for me. I love KOTOR and I foundMEvery similar to that.
In other words, YES! I'd gladly pay full price to get it for PS3. altough I don't think that's gonna happen.

Why not? Are you taking the safe route so that you'd either be right or have the enjoyment of playing the game on the PS3? ;-) A win win sort of... Bioware seems unwilling to give a defenetive answer and I see that as a "we're looking for possibilities".
I think they should do what they're doing with The Chronicles of Riddick : Assault On Dark Athena, and include the first one with the second. It'd sell a lot more copies probably.

Actually I just don't find it that likley that they'd release it for PS3 after all this time, and I wouldn't really call it a victory being right about that. :P

Nah I already have it on the PC.. THough one game I would love to see on the PS3 would be Dead Rising.. That game was so unique, the kind of game you should hold on for a very long time.

Wasn't that the 360 game with a system of time limitations and a one slot savesystem that made you restart the game from scratch if you save when you cannot possibly finish a mission?
