People have been doing it on Xbox for Achievements before Trophies were invented, it's just the nature of the beast. People do it on MMOs before Xbox Achievements. People are stupid to buy trophies, but they have money to burn.
Sony may as well make "Platinum: The Game" where you put in the disc and you get a Platinum when you hit start. $59.99.
It's sort of like people that use SAM for Steam. I believe it is free, but defeats the whole purpose. I know achievements/trophies aren't for everyone, but downloading third party software or paying someone to get them for you defeats the point. I guess if a person really wants to take pride in trying to show off something they themselves haven't achieved........
In terms of what humanistpotato said... you would like to think so, but you're giving someone potential access to personal information by giving your account details away. That alone isn't worth the risk for anything.
well paying someone else to get platinum trophies for you resembles paying someone else to have sex with the person you should do it and you ending up bragging about it, which is clearly put idiotic... :D

not gonna lie, I probably would lol. but I sure as hell am not paying someone else to get trophies for me
Not just kinda, it's really dumb. Save for the rare instance where an unlockable is linked with an achievement/trophy people are essentially paying for bragging rights.
