i think you can only get SDTV (480i) from those cables, if your TV has component inputs then you can get at max 1080i, i think

I think I will get a ps3 cable that has a scart plug. Scart is delivers a little sharper image than the standard av-cables. http://cgi.ebay.nl/RGB-SCART-Video-Cable-Wire-for-Sony-Playstation-3-PS3_W0QQitemZ170105341121QQihZ007QQcategoryZ11319QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

THANKs EVERYBODy.:)

Well my standard av cable gives me 576i picture resolution.  I'd probably bet that this would be the highest you can go before component, HDMI etc.

All cables and their respective maximum resolutions are listed in the manual if you'd like to see them all.

get hdmi cables, it runs up to 1080p and component cables runs up to 1080i.

The included cable is called composite cable, it supports up to 480p on games.

note that i is interlaced and p is progressive.
