Hi,
So my aunt wants to buy or ps3 or tablet for her kids (8yr and 5yr) for easter and she want to buy it at 1 specific store because she has discount there and she does not know what to buy so she asked me for suggestion.

Now while there are some fine tablets (about 200$) they (her kids) would fight over it so I suggested ps3 and in that store there is only ps3 12gb for 250-300$ so my question is, is 12gb worth 250$?
How much does it last?ps3 vs tablet? (but for kids)

I also want to add that you have to buy ps3 games (and I am thinking about gifting them little big planet 1 for 15$ and for her to buy Rango for 30$) you can download free games from app store (which they are playing mostly).
Sry for bad english and thanks for answers!

There are no "free games" on the "app store" on the PS3,only demos.

Don't get a fancy tablet for your kids, spend 100$ at most

If you pay $50 a year for PS Plus, you get free games. However, a 12gb console is not enough space. The 500gb one shouldn't be much more. Every game you play on the PS3 gets downloaded to the hard drive, so unless you want to keep deleting and re-downloading games, get the 500gb one.

The tablet is probably going to be cheaper and get more use in the long run. I don't think a PS3 is going to be very appealing to kids at those ages. There's some kid-friendly games, sure. But there's loads of free or very cheap simple games that the kids will probably play the crap out of on a tablet.

The PS3 12GB flash memory model is only $199.99. For $250.00 ($269.99) you can get the regular PS3 super slim with a 250GB HDD and a game NHL 2014.

Plus the red box Playstation 3 greatest hits are $19.99 so there are plenty of PS3 games to buy for a low cost. Such as the Lego Games, Batman/Star wars/indiana Jones/harry potter/lord of the rings/marvel heroes etc.

Mod racers and Littlebigplanet. and tornado outbreak so there a lots of kids games priced at $19.99
