Wrong. BR movies are also region locked. Only thing that is region free is the PS3 games.

blu-ray movies = locked ps3 games = open ps2 and ps1 = locked (they were made that way to begin with)

The PS3 games on blu-ray discs are not region coded. PS2 and PS1 games are region coded so are DVD movies there are 6 regions. For blu-ray movies they are region locked but its not the same as PAL and NTSC teritorries, its different. Blu-ray movies are region locked to 3 areas. A/1 is for North America, Central America, South America, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South East Asia. B/2 for Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. C/3 for India, Nepal, Mainland China, Russia, Central and South Asia. I do wish it had been region free and I don't see why they had to lockk it to specific regions. I'm sure something will come out to allow us to watch all blu-ray movies from all regions, just like on PS2
