Does Sony ban people easily on PSN?

I've been a PSN+ member for 2 years now and buying paying for 12 months upfront has been effortless for me. I'd rather not have to worry about credit-card information being stored on my consoles. As for the banning thing, me nor the handful of friends I have on PSN have never been banned or anything. If you're playing games legitimately, and not harassing other members online, it should be smooth-sailing.

I suppose not, the place is crowded with jerks.
