is AC4:Black Flag a good game?

i took a look at it and saw that its an open world style game and pirating is a big part of the game. i play open world games such as the elder scrolls series, far cry 3, and red dead redemption but i never liked any of the assassins creed games before the new one. i just didn't like the style but black flag doesn't look like the others so i might give it a try. do you think i would like it since i didn't like the first 3?

It's a phenomenal content rich game. Easily the best game I played from 2013.

Yep it's an awesome game. Graphics are brilliant, story is great and the pirating is awesome too. Will keep you busy till the main games start coming out.

AC4 its fantastic game i love it

same here, just amazing. Though i didn't play Last of Us, GTA V or Bioshock Infinite

If you think experiencing the life of a pirate is something you'd enjoy then it's a must play. I personally enjoyed it quite a lot for that reason.

It's worth the price of admission for sure. My favorite game that I picked up for on the PS4 last year, hands down. Wasn't a fan of the MP, but the single player more than makes up for it, especially if you're a completionist and looking to 100% the game.

While there are plenty of new gameplay mechanics in AC4 at it's core its still an assassin's creed game. So if you enjoyed AC2 + expansions and AC3 you know you'll enjoy at least half the gameplay in AC4, the other half is dominated by some incredibly well done naval combat! So definitely worth giving it a try just to be a pirate!

Havent finished it yet, but really enjoyed what I've played of it so far. I'm enjoying the story and the gameplay in my eyes is the best in the series so far. I love all the pirate stuff and just spending time sailing the seas and exploring. My only real faults with the game so far are that the story has a few too many characters, making it hard to dip in and out of the game, and the modern day stuff just feels really tacked-on and intrusive now.

decent story, loved the pillaging but its just a well done ac game. if you didnt like the previous ac games, i dont think the pirating is enough to convince you that this game is awesome. its not even better than ac2
