I have a friend that does the same.  If he waited, he could have paid $30 or even under for many.

Blog this or something. What am I supposed to do if you haven't beaten 80% of your games?

I have a similar idea. Want to play and beat a bunch of the ps3 games, however I am saving for my ps4. I'll probably end up owning both at the same time for a bit at least.

That is a nice back log of games and by the time you beat them, most of the launch titles will be cheaper.

Because most of the time they are on sale and some people have been wanting it for a long time just not having the time to play it currently?

Good luck.  I said the same thing before I got a PS3 when I had a backlog of Gamecube and PS2 games.  Unless you've got some serious will power and very little money to burn, I think you'll cave :D
