I broke my PS4 by accident, Will they refund it?

I dropped it and it makes a crackling noise when i eject the disc or put it in and i cant play any games because it cannot read any discs

Uh, I guess you could call if you have a warranty. Otherwise I highly doubt it would be fixed/repaired for free since it was an error on your part.

Call Sony and maybe they will cut you a break cheaper than normal although as you can see, the warranty doesn't cover misuse, ABUSE, Negligence, accident, acts of god, etc.

The store you bought it at may have a different policy, but likely not. There isn't usually a good incentive to allow customers buy expensive electronics, break them by abuse, and then replace the electronics for free.

Retailers offer accident warranties

Act thick and say it Broke.

I would take it back to the store you bought it from say it's not working it isn't reading disc's give them the receipt and figures cross they just don't check it, I mean here in england this can be done easily were very good at sorting the problems out at store not through sony.

you can always tell them that it broke on its own if there is nothing apparent when you look at the console.

You are SOL on this one. You broke your PS4 by dropping it. The warranty will not cover it. But you can still get it repaired. Sony does sell replacement parts for PS4 consoles. So you can get a new PS4 case/shell if yours is cracked. Plus the repair should be about $150.00 - 200.00

You will have to send it in to Sony.

Just check the damages on it, and if the exterior is fine tell them it just stopped working.

Not sure if it will sill work, but back in the day I had a broken ps2. I bought a new one and put the broken one in the box and returned it:). I had to swap the serial number sticker
