Been trying all day to get Destiny to work, then switched to CoD, and now my basic network is just crapping out. Using all of my other internet devices fine (tablet, pc, phone, and even accessing netflix from my PS3 fine. Tried disconnected all of those things just to be sure it wasn't a network stress problem.

This is seriously frustrating, first day of the weekend I've been able to game and having network problems.

Real helpful bunch here. This guy's coming to a gaming forum to ask about a gaming problem he is having and everyone is basically telling him to **** off.

Anyway, I think the problem is on your end because I've seen people online all day including right now. So no, PSN isn't down again. I haven't personally played anything online but I think it's safe to say the entire network isn't down.

User is asking a legitimate question, no need to be like that about it. Anyways TC, might just be on your end.

@Essian: who is your internet provider? Until today I have been able to sign into psn w/ my ps4, but what enabled me to do that was the use of a different provider. I was out of town and used a friends provider; he has directv. My provider is comcast. After a bit of frustration, I went online and sure enough I found out many comcast subscribers had the same problem. Now, I just learned of this so I still need to get things worked out. But it's a glimmer of hope for you. Also, Playstation is still saying high volume could be the problem. Hope all goes well for you and any other gamer having same problem.
