This makes me wish the sign-in of the user had a password not just the psn. So that way you could buy it and play it in front of him but he would need your password to play it. :P

That's what a lock on a chest is for... shove your PS3 in it and lock it. The controllers are wireless so it's not like you need ti have a wire for it... Or better yet. Lock the controllers in a box! Then no cords nee to come out, and he can't play (Unless he goes and buys a controller :P )
Unless there's a game that he can really get behind, you've got your work cut out for you. I suggest you buy it yourself and then make him get his own controller if he wants to play.

My brother did the same thing when I was buying both my PC's... Each time he wouldn't pitch in as he'd never use it... But I found myself constantly being told to get off as he wanted to use it for something. Brothers tend to say they don't want it until they're given it for free.

its not a good idea to split with your bro.Cause then when you move away from each other you'll fight over who gets the PS3.just buy it and it will be yours.Not just half yours.

I saw Gamestop extended their trade in a PS2 for $100 off a PS3 offer until 5/27. If you have a PS2 that might help make up the difference a bit if your brother doesn't want to do it.

If you want it that bad just buy it. After you get it let him play if he wants, just tell him if he wants to keep playing he should buy some games. It's a good way to split costs.
