So I'm loving my PS4 and how sleek it looks, but there has been some dust accumulating, I wipe it off with a soft cloth but have noticed some scratches now on the glossy plastic side that covers the HDD.

its not that noticeable unless you really look but they are there, anyone else having issues with this? Would sony replace that cover?

Want my PS4 looking as sexy as possible for as long as possible.

it doesn't bother me so much, but its not that old of a PS4, about 2 months old, just worried about long term ownership as scratches area already showing up.

same here, those dust particles easily scratched it up. Like i said not a big deal but this is still a new system and thinking how it will look in a year or two. There are some nice skins available though.

Yeah mine's the same. I love the look of the glossy finish but damn it's annoying to clean!

That's one reason I want the white PS4. I don't think it would be nearly as noticeable. But if I do end up getting the black one, I'll just slap a skin of some sort on there.

you should see how much the xbox one scratches. wayyyyyyy more than the ps4. don't even use a cloth, just blow the dust off.

what did you wipe it off with sandpaper? just buy a microfiber cloth, I bought a 5 pack a couple of years ago and they work fine. To clean them I just rinse them off in a bowl of soapy warm water, ring and rinse them out really good then let them hang in the bathroom to dry and use forever.

Yes but only because I place the game case ontop of the PS4 when I play. So I have scuffed up the glossy part of the PS4. Not to much to worry about. I'm happy my PS4 still works without any issues. Sony seems to have learned from the mistakes from the 7th gen. I just have a bad habit of placing my games on the console. a minor first world problem...sigh what is a gamer to do?

just stick some hello kitty stickers all over the scratches and be happy with it
