Final Fantasy X/X2 coming to PS4. Really?

Does anyone know if they're going to touch it up for PS4 or are they going to just port the same awful 'remaster' straight from PS3? They wouldn't dare, would they?

I'm excited. I remember the day Final Fantasy X released back in Dec 2001. I think it was a few days right before Xmas and there FFX was. Tidus, Yuna, Wakka and the gang were waiting for me! I needed a game for my shiny brand new PS2 back then...

I declared that day on cold December morning back in 2001 in front of the register retailer guy, I won't play this masterpiece until it's released on PS4! I've been waiting ever since. SquareEnix listens to it's fans. :P

Yeah, well actually I'm not expecting anything 'new' just hopefully they put some effort into making the PS4 version a proper remaster. The PS3 version looked just awful. It brought me right back to that day you fondly remember in 2001 :)

We could use more games for the PS4, it's just I have played these two games so many times now, and as much as the journey is timeless; I wonder if there is a risk of being "played out"

@blueinheaven: yeah it's coming. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. Remember not everyone played it on the PS2 or even the PS3. If you have it, just don't freaking buy it...

It is actually far more attractive than the ps3 remaster. Much sharper textures and better lighting. Not justifying it, but to answer your question it is not a straight port of the ps3 version. The Japanese SE website has comparison screens

I own it on PS2 and PS3, not getting it again on PS4.

I will get it. I never got it for the PS3 or PS Vita and I am glad I didn't. I haven't played any good RPG's or JRPG's in awhile

Haven't played the game before and I'm pretty excited for the PS4 version. I've been having a bit of a Final Fnatasy craze as of late.

As much as they're being massive dicks about re-releasing the hell out of this series, I'm somewhat sad to admit that the PS4 version does look pretty good.
