Does your PS3 freeze once in a while???

Everything has been ok since April of this year, but last month I was playing Assassin's Creed and it froze on me twice. When I wanted to play Oblivion: GOTY edition last night it freezed on me again before I could start the game. I have had my PS3 freeze 4 times the past two weeks.

I absolutely love my system so any insights and opinions on my baby is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thats pretty weird, my PS3 never never freezes it doesnt have any problem, try cleaning the system, or the ps3 fan

To shunn. I always clean mine with a Dyson vacuum. It gets EVERYTHING cleaned.

To kratos. Man, how do you do it? That is horrible. I hope everything is ok for you. Maybe you should be safe than sorry and get another PS3 system from sony but, I know I know. It's a pain in the arse.

It not much of an issus it doesn't take long to turn it off and on, hopefully I'll find a solution but I really don't spend all that time getting another one. As long as everything else works it's not a big problem.

Mine used to freeze on Assassins Creed, but then i installed a firmware update and its ok now.

never ever freezes, not with MGS4 or GTA4 (i lot of people claim that those games made their sys froze)and i own a early 60gb PS3...

make sure no dust is on the thing, keep her ventilated don't block the fans...

Gah! Used compressed air! Don't use a vacuum, you can create a static charge and fry your $600 console! Yikes, man.

I just don't think compressed air would be good because isn't the dust going to be blown more into the inside than it can normally?

it used to when i was playing BF:BC...

now that im back on cod4 its not happening...so i guess it depends on the games...

Im the one lucky freak of nature, that somehow did not have a problem with AC. And I played it all the way threw. I could almost tell thow, that it was one of those games, that could lock up at any sec. But never did.

Hard to describe how you can tell. Force Unleashed looks like one of those game that might lock up. Maybe from playing PC games back in the days, you know the look of code being jammed in the wrong places lol? I have no clue thow.
